Principal Systems Engineer at Third Pole Therapeutics

Nathaniel Jackson has a diverse work experience in the field of medical device engineering. Nathaniel is currently working as a Principal Systems Engineer at Third Pole Therapeutics since September 2019. Prior to that, they held the role of Systems Engineering Group Leader II at Instrumentation Laboratory, A Werfen Company from May 2018 to September 2019. In this role, Nathaniel was responsible for managing two senior systems engineers and overseeing goal setting, coaching, yearly reviews, employment decisions, and process improvement. Nathaniel also acted as an individual contributor for multiple projects during this time.

Before joining Instrumentation Laboratory, Nathaniel worked at DEKA Research & Development from August 2009 to June 2017. Nathaniel held various roles including Junior System Engineer, QA System Test Manager, Engineering Verification Test Manager, and QA Test Engineer. These roles provided him with a range of experiences in quality assurance and system testing.

Nathaniel's early career started at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where they worked as a student from August 2005 to May 2009. Here, they developed the skills necessary for designing and developing medical devices, with a focus on orthopedics.

As a student, Nathaniel also gained research experience at Children's Hospital Boston from June 2008 to August 2008. Nathaniel worked in the Bone Cell Biology Laboratory, designing and conducting original research on quantifying osteoclast activity. Nathaniel also developed protocols for imaging cell cultures using ImageAssembler.

Through their work experience, Nathaniel has acquired a strong background in systems engineering, management, quality assurance, and medical device design.

Nathaniel Jackson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, attending from 2005 to 2009.
