Carter M. has a diverse background in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on offensive security operations. Starting in 2015 at PDX, Inc., they worked as an Information Security Analyst. From 2019 to 2021, Carter served as an Exploitation Analyst at the National Security Agency, where they gained valuable experience in analyzing vulnerabilities. In 2021, Carter joined Change Healthcare as a Senior Information Security Analyst, where they built secure infrastructure and conducted offensive security operations. At FalconOps Cybersecurity, Carter was a Co-Founder in 2018. Currently, they are working at Third Wave Innovations as a Senior Security Engineer, leading a team of cybersecurity experts in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.

Carter M. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Security and Risk Analysis from Penn State University, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. In addition to their degree, Carter M. also obtained several certifications from GIAC Certifications. They achieved the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification and joined the GIAC Advisory Board in November 2019. In July 2020, they obtained the GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification, followed by the GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) certification in September 2020. Most recently, Carter M. achieved the GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN) certification in March 2021, and the GIAC Open Source Intelligence (GOSI) certification in July 2021.
