Chris Ragan, PharmD, BCPS

Chris Ragan, PharmD, BCPS has a diverse range of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Chris currently holds the position of VP, Clinical Formulary Management at ThirdWaveRx since February 2023. Before that, they worked as VP, Clinical Strategy at HealthStrategy, LLC from March 2022 to September 2022.

Prior to their role at HealthStrategy, LLC, Chris had a long tenure at Humana. Chris served as a Senior Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Professional from September 2020 to March 2022. Additionally, they held the position of Associate Director - Clinical Formulary Strategy from March 2015 to September 2020. In this role, they managed a team of 9 clinical pharmacist subject matter experts, overseeing their engagement and success in achieving team goals. Chris also provided mentorship and facilitation of individual growth. Their responsibilities included developing clinical strategies for various subject matter expert areas and presenting recommendations to Humana's P&T Committee. Chris served as a Clinical Pharmacist from March 2013 to March 2015, where their expertise in areas such as infectious diseases, respiratory disorders, ophthalmology, immunology, and ear, nose, and throat were essential. Chris was also the Formulary Lead for Commercial and Exchanges lines of business.

Chris began their career at Walgreens as a Pharmacy Manager from May 2007 to October 2011. During their time at Walgreens, they successfully improved pharmacy performance and profitability for two separate locations in the Louisville market. Chris focused on hiring and developing pharmacy staff and creating a culture of excellence in patient care. Chris also played a role in training new pharmacy managers and serving as a training location for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

Chris Ragan, PharmD, BCPS completed their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Purdue University from the years 1999 to 2005. Their field of study during this time was Pharmacy.
