Connie Yu

Connie Yu is an experienced professional with a background in operations, crisis intervention, and support services. As the Founder and Director of Operations and Development at Calgary Vegan Society since October 2022, Connie has built strong vendor relationships and managed event logistics. Concurrently serving as a Relief Worker at Alpha House Society since October 2020, Connie emphasizes safety through effective crisis de-escalation and proactive risk management. Previous roles include Permanent Supportive Housing Caseworker and Addictions Support Worker, where Connie developed support programs and provided care in emergency shelter settings. Additional experience includes event promotion for Blueprint and brand ambassador duties at foodora. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sociology at Mount Royal University, set to graduate in May 2024.
