Brendan O'Brien

Brendan O'Brien has a diverse work experience. Brendan began their career in 2015 as a Web Development Intern for CrowdTunes. In 2016, they became an Advisor and Co-founder & VP of Engineering for Brainbuild. In 2018, they held multiple roles, including Javascript Developer for Mavely, Freelance Software Engineer for Self Employed, Lead Software Engineer for Yotta Workout, Lead Application Developer for The Bet Exchange, English Teacher for La Choza Chula, and Yoga Instructor for El Zopilote Permaculture Farm. Brendan currently holds the role of Senior Software Engineer for ThisApp.

Brendan O'Brien obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering/Biomedical Engineering (Minor in Computer Science) from Duke University between 2012 and 2016. In 2014, they studied abroad at UNSW, focusing on Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering. In 2016, they obtained a Full Stack Web Development Certification from freeCodeCamp in Computer Software Engineering. Additionally, Brendan O'Brien has obtained several certifications, including a Tandem Instructor Rating from the U.S. Parachute Association (USPA) in October 2020, an AFF Instructor Rating from the USPA in August 2020, a Coach Rating from the USPA in May 2019, a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training from Yoga Alliance and Yoga Alliance Professionals in February 2018, and an Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America in August 2011.
