Alex Merrill

Alex Merrill has over 25 years of work experience in the financial services and real estate industries. Alex is currently working as a Technical Accounting/Finance Consultant at Blythe Global Advisors, where they help clients improve revenue, reduce costs, and improve profitability. Prior to that, Alex served as the Chief Accounting Officer at Thomas James Homes and as the Director of Finance and VP Controller at Homebuilding Executives of Southern California. Alex also worked as the Director of Accounting at Brookfield Residential and as a Finance and Accounting Consultant for various clients, including start-up real estate investors and alternative energy companies. Alex has a strong background in financial reporting, audit, tax preparation, and managing accounting teams. Alex holds experience working for both privately-held companies and global accounting firms such as Ernst & Young LLP.

Alex Merrill obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton in 1996. Additionally, Merrill holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of California.
