Douglas McGee has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Douglas began their career in 1991 at Einstein Healthcare Network, where they worked as an Emergency Physician and later became the Vice President and Chief Academic Officer. In 2023, they joined Thomas Jefferson University as the Vice Provost for Clinical Affiliations and also took on roles at Jefferson Health as the Enterprise Lead for Graduate Medical Education and at Sidney Kimmel Medical College as the Vice Dean for Graduate Medical Education.
Douglas McGee completed their high school education at Plum Senior High School, earning a High School Diploma. Douglas then pursued their undergraduate studies at Allegheny College from 1979 to 1983, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Organic Chemistry. Afterward, they attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with a specialization in Medicine.
