Joseph Anton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Joseph started their career in 2005 as a Manager of Emergency Services at South Jersey Healthcare. In 2007, they became the Director of Patient Logistics at Jefferson Health and later transitioned to the role of Administrator of Transplant Services. From 2012 to 2020, Joseph served as the Vice President of Clinical and Support Services at Jefferson Health. In 2020, they took on the role of President and CEO at Methodist Hospital Foundation. Additionally, Joseph has taught as an Adjunct Faculty member at Drexel University since 2014.

Joseph Anton has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Villanova University, which they completed in 2004. Joseph then pursued a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Leadership and Health System Management at Drexel University from 2006 to 2009.
