Trish Henwood, MD has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of emergency medicine and global health. Trish is currently serving as the EVP, Chief Clinical Officer & James D and Mary Jo Danella Chief Quality Officer at Jefferson Health, where they also hold the role of Emergency Medicine Physician. Dr. Henwood previously served as the Jefferson Health Emergency Medicine COVID-19 Task Force Chair and Jefferson Health Emergency Medicine Quality Officer.
In addition to their work at Jefferson Health, Dr. Henwood has played a significant role in resource-limited environments through their position as President and Co-Founder of Point-of-care Ultrasound in Resource-limited Environments (PURE). Trish has also been involved in telemedicine as part of the Telemedicine Specialist Team with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
Prior to joining Jefferson Health, Dr. Henwood held various roles at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, including Emergency Medicine Physician, Associate Chief of the Division of Emergency Ultrasound, and Director of Global Ultrasound Programs. Trish has also served as Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Instructor in Medicine (Emergency Medicine).
Dr. Henwood's work experience also includes positions at Thomas Jefferson University, where they served as the Director of Global Strategic Partnerships, and Penn Medicine (University of Pennsylvania Health System), where they were the Director of Global Health Initiatives.
Trish has contributed to the international medical community through their role as the International Academy Faculty Coordinator for the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency and as an Emergency Medical Coordinator and Ebola Technical Consultant for International Medical Corps during the Ebola Humanitarian Response.
