Laura Pontiggia

Laura Pontiggia is currently the Associate Dean of Academic Programs at Thomas Jefferson University, where also serves as a Professor and Director of Academic Programs at the Institute of Emerging Health Professions since July 2020. Prior to this role, Laura was the Director of the BS in Data Science program at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia from August 2005 to June 2020, and held various positions including Associate Provost for Academic Partnerships, Professor of Statistics, and Associate Dean of Misher College of Arts and Sciences. Laura's academic journey includes a Ph.D. and MS in Statistics from the University of Minnesota, alongside a Laurea in Economics from Università di Pavia. Laura's extensive experience encompasses program development, academic administration, and statistical education.
