Carlos Williams has a diverse background in project management and architecture. Carlos started their career at CSC as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and Staff Architect, where they were responsible for various tasks including programming meetings, budget and schedule development, and creation of construction documents. Carlos then moved on to JLL as a Project Manager, where they successfully managed a multitude of projects of different stages, sizes, types, complexities, and costs. Currently, Carlos is the Director of Architecture and Engineering Services at Thompson Hospitality, leading and supervising a team of architects, project managers, and other support staff. Carlos'sresponsibilities include program development, construction budgets, compliance with building codes, and establishing project delivery approaches.
Carlos Williams began their education journey at Danville Community College in 1992, where they pursued a field of study in General Studies, although it is unclear whether they obtained a degree. Carlos then attended Virginia Western Community College from 1993 to 1995, where they successfully completed an Associate's degree in Architecture. Carlos furthered their education at Howard University from 1996 to 1998, focusing on Architecture as their field of study.
In addition to their formal education, Carlos also obtained certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2014, they earned the LEED Green Associate certification from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Then, in 2016, they obtained the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
