Mitch Phillips

Mitch Phillips serves as the Reuters Sports Editor for Europe, Middle East, and Africa since January 2012, overseeing the sports operations and planning for major international events while liaising with federations. From 1997 to 2012, Mitch held various roles at Reuters News Agency, including Sports News Editor, Head of UK Reporting, and Chief Sports Reporter, managing global sports news coverage and leading reporting teams. Earlier experience includes serving as Deputy Sports Editor at United Press International and holding reporting roles at North Wales Newspapers and RSPCA. Mitch graduated with a BSc (Hons) in History and Psychology from The University of Salford.
