Promit Mukherjee is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in financial and business reporting, particularly in the oil & gas, metals & mining, and power sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Equities Correspondent for Reuters in Johannesburg since March 2020, Promit previously held various positions including Correspondent for Reuters News Agency, National Writer at HT MINT, and Assistant Editor at The Financial Express and DNA Newspaper. Promit began the career as a Correspondent at The Hitavada and has developed a strong editorial background from roles at NDTV Profit and Diligent Media Corporation Ltd. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from Priyadarshini College of Engineering and Architecture, along with earlier schooling in Science and general subjects from CMS, Lucknow, and Cathedral School, respectively.
