Christopher Liu

Christopher Liu is a Photonics Support Engineer I at Thorlabs since April 2024, bringing a strong foundation in data analysis and engineering. Previously, Christopher served as a Data Analyst Intern at Human Capital Research Corporation from June to October 2023, where a project focused on developing a predictive model from extensive data sources using SPSS and Python to enhance university admissions processes. Key achievements during this internship included creating a tool for data visualization and employing advanced statistical techniques to analyze source efficacy. Earlier roles included a Research Assistant in the ZEUS Lab at the University of Michigan, where Christopher conducted Fourier analysis and assembled laser components, and as an Astrophysics Research Assistant at the same institution. Christopher also contributed to education as an Engineering OnRamp Program Advisor, mentoring students in STEM subjects, and held the position of Honors Resident Advisor. Christopher earned a Bachelor of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics and Physics from the University of Michigan in 2023.
