Jianfei Wang

Jianfei Wang is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in device engineering and materials science. Currently serving as a Senior Device Engineer at Thorlabs since April 2016, Jianfei Wang specializes in the design, fabrication, packaging, and testing of tunable VCSEL devices for optical coherence tomography applications, as well as designing silicon photonic devices and analyzing test data. Prior to Thorlabs, Jianfei Wang held the position of Senior Design Engineer at Sensitron Semiconductor, focusing on the development of high-reliability hermetic packages and resolving significant yield issues. Jianfei Wang's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, complemented by master's and bachelor's degrees from Tsinghua University, with research contributions in functional composites and electronic materials.
