Emmanuel Shumba

Emmanuel Shumba has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and companies. Emmanuel started their career as a Credit Officer at Circuit Finance in 2007 before moving on to Taurus Trade Finance, where they worked as a Client Manager from 2008 to 2011. Emmanuel then joined Suncorp as a Client Manager for a brief period in 2011. Later that year, they joined Allianz Australia Limited as a Field Reviewer until 2013.

In 2013, Emmanuel joined GE Capital and served as a Field Reviewer in Debtor Finance before being promoted to the role of Business Analyst - Team Leader. Emmanuel subsequently became a Credit Risk Manager, handling Debtor Finance. Emmanuel'stime at GE Capital ended in 2016.

From 2016 onwards, Emmanuel has been associated with Thorn Group Limited. Initially, they worked as a Credit Manager for Thorn Trade & Debtor Finance from 2016 to 2018. Emmanuel then became a Portfolio Manager for Thorn Business Finance until 2020. After that, they were appointed as the Collections, Recovery and Complaints Manager. Emmanuel'scurrent role, as of March 2022, is the Head of Operations at Thorn Group Limited.

Emmanuel Shumba began their education in 2004, earning a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Deakin University. Emmanuel'sfield of study focused on Accounting and Economics. Following this, they pursued further education by enrolling in the CPA Australia Program from 2009 to 2011, earning their CPA accreditation. In 2011 and 2012, Emmanuel Shumba attended Victoria University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA). Emmanuel then continued their studies at Victoria University from 2013 to 2018, completing their Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA). Emmanuel'sdoctoral research concentrated on the Adoption of Information Systems in Small Businesses in Australia, specifically using an Innovation-Decision Approach.
