Emily Slifer

Emily Slifer has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. Emily currently serves as the Director of Policy at Thorn, a position they have held since August 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Senior International Policy Manager for Thorn from April 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining Thorn, Emily worked at the British Embassy Washington as a Home Office Policy Advisor from July 2020 to April 2021. Prior to that, they spent five years at The British Embassy, where they held the position of Programmes Administrator from January 2015 to July 2020.

Emily also has experience working in the European Parliament, where they served as a Stagieire for the AFET Committee from January 2014 to March 2014. Additionally, they worked as an Intern at the European Parliament Liaison Office from September 2013 to December 2013.

Emily'searlier career experiences include an internship at Centro UNESCO di Firenze from April 2013 to June 2013, and a Graduate Assistant role at James Madison University from September 2012 to June 2013.

Emily Slifer completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Political Science, with a focus on EU Public Policy, from James Madison University in 2013. Prior to that, they graduated from George Mason University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Global Affairs.
