Robert Hammond has extensive experience in the retail industry, holding various leadership positions throughout their career. Robert most recently served as the Vice President of Operations at Thorntons Inc., where they had P&L responsibility for a retail, food, and fuel business. During their time there, they successfully opened 40 new prototype stores, leading to higher sales and gross profit. Prior to Thorntons Inc., Hammond was the Vice President of Stores-Golf Galaxy at Golf Galaxy/Dick's Sporting Goods, overseeing all field operations and driving sales, profit, and brand performance. Robert also held the role of Vice President of Stores/Zone VP at CMRG, where they had P&L responsibility for an upscale luxury retailer of men's sportswear, clothing, shoes, furnishings, and accessories. Earlier in their career, Hammond was the SVP of Stores at The Custom Shop, responsible for the full P&L of a national luxury custom retailer of men's and women's custom clothing. Robert also served as the VP of Stores at Today's Man, a national men's specialty superstore chain. Overall, Hammond has a strong track record of improving store sales and profitability and has experience managing large teams and overseeing multiple locations.
