Kathryn Anderton

Kathryn Anderton has worked in the healthcare industry since 2013. Kathryn began their career as a Nurse Manager at Stewart Ear, Nose, and Throat Center, where they were responsible for organizing and maintaining the surgery schedule, obtaining insurance authorization, monitoring for post-operative complications, and assisting in post-operative appointments. Kathryn also oversaw the allergy department, obtaining CLIA licensure, installing and managing Hitachi allergy blood testing, and overseeing 50 immunotherapy patients daily. In 2015, they moved on to Beaumont Health as a Progressive Care Nurse, providing acute care to 4-6 patients on a neuro/cardiac step down unit. Her skills included continuous telemetry monitoring, maintaining central lines, titrating various drips, inserting foley catheters, and monitoring post-cardiac catheterization. In 2020, they joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan as a Case Management Nurse, where they were responsible for developing care plans that improve the health outcomes of members, in partnership with physicians and other health care professionals. Kathryn was also responsible for engaging and managing 35-45 Medicare members simultaneously, including educating, providing resources, and monitoring the need for intervention. Kathryn Anderton is currently employed at ThoroughCare as a Clinical Product Analyst, a position they have held since 2022.

Kathryn Anderton received their Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women between 2008 and 2013. Kathryn also holds a Registered Nurse license in Michigan and Illinois, which they obtained in January 2019. Additionally, they have certifications in Cardiac-Vascular Nursing (RN-BC), Certified Case Manager, Gerontological Nursing (RN-BC), and Medical-Surgical Nursing (RN-BC).
