Scott Pearson

Chief Product Officer at THREAD research

Scott Pearson joined THREAD after helping to accelerate growth as a product executive at Amazon, where he led the development of innovative solutions for large biopharma customers, leveraging computational pathology, cloud infrastructure, and artificial intelligence resulting in three key offerings for Amazon. Prior to Amazon, Scott was part of GE leadership where he guided in-house venture capital teams in standing up multiple >$100m revenue-generating companies and, later, served as the Global Director of Capital Program Management, successfully managing over 90 major programs totaling over $3BN. Scott’s leadership approach was also shaped by his 10 years of service as an officer in the U.S. Army, where he attained the roles of CFO for Innovation Command and Global Director for Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief.

Scott holds a Master of Engineering in Computational Science and Engineering from Cornell University, a Master of Public Health in Healthcare Management and Regulatory Affairs from Yale, and a Master of Science in Drug Discovery and Development from the University of Oxford.

Scott is a Cornell University Lecturer at the SC Johnson School of Business and the School of Engineering, speaking frequently on entrepreneurship and innovation. Scott also supports lecture engagements at Oxford University and Yale University.
