Ines Coelho has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Ines started their career as a Research Technician at CIIMAR, where they conducted toxicological experiments on fish and invertebrates. In 2010, they became a Researcher and PhD Student at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, focusing on the role of mRNA translation in synapse formation.
After completing their PhD, Ines worked as a Community Manager at Bundlr, where they managed online communities and promoted the company's services. Ines then became a Researcher at the University of Coimbra, conducting research on a specific project.
In 2015, Ines participated in the Rails Girls Summer of Code program as a Student Programmer, developing a mailer gem for the Hanami open source software project. Ines also worked as a Programming Intern at Feedzai during the same year.
In 2017, Ines became a Co-Founder and CTO at Securis, responsible for strategic planning, management, and web programming. Ines then moved on to FreeWheel as a Software Engineer, and later joined Elsevier as a Software Engineer, where they worked on Mendeley's flagship product, the Mendeley Reference Manager.
Most recently, in 2020, Ines Coelho joined Threads Styling as a Developer.
Ines Coelho completed their education in a chronological order. From 2004 to 2008, they obtained a Licenciatura (Pré-Bolonha) in Biochemistry from Universidade de Coimbra. Ines then pursued a Licenciatura in Informatics Engineering, specializing in Informatics Engineering, from 2011 to 2014. Finally, from 2014 to 2016, they completed their Mestrado in Engenharia Informática from the same university.
