Kate Rand

Kate Rand has accumulated a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Kate is currently serving as the Interim COO at Threads Styling since March 2023, where they are responsible for internal services and interim operations executive. From March 2021 to June 2023, they held the position of Chief People Officer at Threads Styling, overseeing operations, people services, and legal matters. Prior to that, Kate worked as the VP People at Threads Styling from August 2020 to March 2021.

Before joining Threads Styling, Kate was the Company Director at AgileHR Ltd since June 2019. Kate also worked with the AgileHR Community as a Lead Trainer and Consultant, collaborating with prominent companies such as Netflix, BMW, GSK, and Lockheed Martin, starting from January 2019.

In addition to their roles in Threads Styling and AgileHR, Kate has been involved in various councils and organizations. Kate served as a Council Member for the BIMA Inclusion and Diversity Council at BIMA (British Interactive Media Association) from February 2020 to March 2021. Kate is a Member of the Forbes Human Resources Council since July 2018.

Prior to these roles, Kate held several positions at Beyond, starting as an HR Leader from March 2017 to January 2018. Kate then became an HR Director from January 2018 to September 2019, before transitioning to the role of Director of People & Operations from February 2019 to September 2019. Finally, they served as the Group Director of People and Operations at Beyond from September 2019 to August 2020.

Kate's earlier experiences include being the Human Resources Manager at Eagle Eye Solutions from May 2016 to March 2017, an HR Advisor at Pro:Direct Sport from September 2015 to April 2016, and a People Operations Manager at Sitel from October 2014 to September 2015.

Before entering the HR field, Kate gained experience in operations and business development at Be At One. Kate served as a Regional Operations and Business Development Manager from April 2013 to September 2014, an HR and Compliance Officer from May 2012 to April 2013, and a General Manager from January 2011 to April 2012.

In 2023-2024, they attended the University of London and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Commercial Law.

From 2021 to 2023, Kate attended Coventry University, where they earned an MSc in Psychology.

In 2020, they also attended Coventry University and obtained a PGCert in Consumer Psychology, as well as a PGDip in Business & Organizational Psychology.

Between 2014 and 2018, Kate pursued a Master's degree in Human Resources Management and Services through CIPD Qualifications.

In 2004-2006, they studied at Derby College and completed a B-Tec National Diploma in Fashion and Clothing, as well as a Certificate in Photography.

From 2000 to 2005, Kate attended Highfields School.

In 2011, they obtained a Level 3 qualification in Human Resources through CIPD Qualifications.

Additionally, Kate has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including ICAgile Certified Professional - Agility in the Enterprise and ICAgile Certified Professional - Coaching Agile Transitions from ICAgile in 2022.

In 2022, they also acquired the Test User: Occupational, Ability and Personality certification from Psysoft.

In 2021, Kate obtained the EQ-I 2.0 & EQ-I 360 Certification from MHS (Mental Health Systems, PC).

In 2020, they achieved the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM.

Furthermore, in 2018, Kate earned a Level 7 Master in HRM from CIPD Qualifications and became an AgileHR Certified Practitioner through the AgileHR Community.

Kate also completed Organizational Design & Development from CIPD Qualifications in 2018.

Kate is a student member of The British Psychological Society and an associate member of The Association of Business Psychologists, obtained in 2021 and 2020, respectively.
