Matthew Anderson

Executive Vice President / Director of R&D at ThreatGEN

Matthew Anderson has worked in the cybersecurity field since 2001. Matthew's first position was as a Network Technician at Systems Evolution Inc. from 2001 to 2006. Matthew then moved to Convergys as a Technical Support Representative from 2006 to 2007. After that, they worked for U.S. Support as a Technical Service Rep. from 2007 to 2009. In 2009, they became an ICS Security Consultant and Penetration Tester for Critical Infrastructure Defense Group. Matthew then worked as an Independent Contractor for Kaspersky Lab from 2016 to 2017. During this time, they developed simulated industrial environments and built and configured ICS lab environments. In 2017, they became an ICS Cyber Security Engineer for LEO Cyber Security and also worked as Executive Vice President/Director of R&D for ThreatGEN™. Matthew also volunteered as an Adjunct/Volunteer Cybersecurity Lab Leader at North American University (NAU) from 2016 to 2017, where they assisted with teaching entry level penetration methodologies, co-organizing Capture the Flag events, mentoring students, and teaching students basic Open Modelica and Dymola principals for cybersecurity research.

Matthew Anderson attended Westfield High School from 1996 to 2000, where they earned their high school diploma in General Studies. Matthew then went on to attend DeVry University from 2014 to 2016, where they earned their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Renewable Resource Engineering.
