Pramati Kalwad

Pramati Kalwad has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They are currently working as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at thredUP since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Deep Learning Engineer at Miso Robotics from December 2018 to April 2021.

Before joining Miso Robotics, Pramati was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2018 to December 2018. They assisted with Language and Statistics courses under the guidance of Prof. Bhiksha Raj.

Pramati also gained experience as a Machine Learning Engineer (Intern) at Miso Robotics from May 2018 to August 2018. Additionally, they worked at Samsung Electronics as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2017 to August 2017, where they developed Stories in Gallery and conducted research on recommender systems and user preference modeling. They also worked on developing intelligent features for Photo Gallery and contributed to developing a Media Content Management Framework in Android as a Software Engineer from July 2015 to February 2017.

Prior to Samsung Electronics, Pramati interned at Samsung R&D Institute during the summer of 2014. They also worked as an Intern at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2013, where they focused on statistical learning algorithms and experimentation for text classification with Prof. Ambedkar Dukkipathi.

Pramati Kalwad pursued a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at Carnegie Mellon University from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka from 2011 to 2015.
