Chris I. has extensive work experience in human resources. They began their career in 1988 as a Retail Manager and Human Resources professional at Lord + Taylor, where they worked until 2002. From 2002 to 2010, Chris served as a Human Resources Business Partner and Vice President at Bloomingdale's and Saks Fifth Avenue. They then held the role of Regional Human Resources Manager at Coldwater Creek, Inc. from 2011 to 2014. Following this, Chris worked as a Human Resources Business Partner and Vice President at Randa Accessories from 2014 to 2018. In 2020, they joined CVS Health in a retail store and operations role until 2021. In 2021, they served as the Employment Manager at American Girl. Recently, in 2022, Chris held positions as the Human Resources Director at FAO Schwarz and Director of Human Resources at MerchSource. Additionally, since 2011, Chris has also worked as a Human Resources Consultant and Advisor for various profit, private, non-profit organizations, and the community.
Chris I. attended Manhattanville College from 2019 to 2020, where they studied Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General. They did not obtain a degree from this institution. Prior to that, Chris I. studied at The University of Memphis, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting and Business/Management.
In addition to their formal education, Chris I. obtained a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from Vector International in July 2019.
