Lina Palancares

Lina Palancares is an experienced educational professional currently serving as a College Access Manager at Thrive Scholars since June 2022, where responsibilities include supporting low-income, high-achieving students in their college applications and enrollment. Previously, Lina worked as a Virtual College Coach for LatinxEd, focusing on facilitating higher education opportunities for Latinx students. Lina has held multiple roles within the College Advising Corps, providing guidance to underrepresented high school students. Additional experience includes program coordination and support at Student Action with Farmworkers and internships focused on community organizing and social justice. Lina holds a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in International Comparative Studies from Duke University.
