Preston Spivey

Preston Spivey, M.A.T. SpEd, currently serves as the College Access Manager at Thrive Scholars, where responsibilities include delivering college counseling programming for a cohort of approximately 45 students, focusing on selective college admissions, one-on-one engagement, and group workshops. Previously, Preston worked as an Academic Advisor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, enhancing retention and enrollment of disadvantaged youth through targeted support and advisement. Additional experience includes serving as a Transition and Life Planning Coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, an Adjunct Instructor at Guilford Technical Community College, and a Special Education Teacher at Guilford County Schools. Preston holds a Master of Arts in Special Education and Teaching and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, both from Winston-Salem State University.
