Director, Service Operations - Europe at Thrive

Joe Smylie began their work experience in 2005 as a Distributor for both The Derbyshire Times and The Shoppers Guide. In 2007, they worked as a Waiter & Bartender at the BlueBell Inn. From 2008 to 2012, they served as a Sales Assistant at JJB Sports. In 2011, they transitioned to the technology field and started working as a Technical Support Engineer at Custard Technical Services Ltd. Joe then progressed to the role of Project Engineer in 2014 and later became the Head of Projects in 2017. In 2018, they took on the position of Head of Projects & IT Service Delivery. From 2020 to 2022, they served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Director. Joe continued working in technology as the Director of Technology (UK) at both Custard Technical Services Ltd and Thrive. Most recently, Joe Smylie held various director roles at Thrive, including Director of Technology (UK), Director of Senior Engineering - Europe, and Director of Service Operations - Europe.

Joe Smylie attended Tupton Hall Secondary School from 2003 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Hunloke Park Primary School from 1997 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Joe has obtained multiple certifications including the 2024 Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption V2.02 from Traliant, the Barracuda Firewall Certified Engineer certification from Barracuda, and various other certifications related to IT and professional competence.
