Richard Chaves

Richard Chaves has a diverse work experience that spans various roles in financial and retail sectors. Richard started their career as an Assistant Manager in GNC in 2007 and then worked as a Store Manager in the same company from 2009 to 2012. In 2012, they also interned at Merrill Lynch, where they assisted with compliance maintenance and preparation of client documents. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Mortgage Loan Officer in Training at Metropolitan Home Mortgage, where they handled customer calls, provided loan information, and addressed team concerns. In 2013, they joined Merrill Lynch as a PMD Financial Advisor for a year. Richard then worked at Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC. as a Client Relationship Manager (Financial Advisor) from 2014 to 2020. Most recently, they served as an Investment Counselor at Fisher Investments from 2020 to 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Market Director at Thrivent since May 2023.

Richard Chaves earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from California State University-San Bernardino. Richard also obtained additional certifications including Life, Accident, and Health from the Texas Department of Insurance in 2023, the Series 66 from FINRA in 2014, and the Series 7 from FINRA in 2013.
