Thriving Center Of Psychology
Sekinat M. Kuku, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist currently serving at the Thriving Center of Psychology since January 2024. Previously, Kuku held roles as a postdoctoral psychologist at Stevens Institute of Technology and as an adjunct professor at New Jersey City University, teaching courses in positive psychology and abnormal psychology, as well as at Passaic County Community College where courses in abnormal psychology and theories of personality were instructed. Kuku has also contributed as a pre-doctoral psychology intern at Pace University, managing individual therapy clients and facilitating psychotherapy groups. Additional experiences include extern therapist positions at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, and research assistance for the New Jersey Department of Children and Families. Kuku earned a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from William Paterson University of New Jersey and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from Rutgers University–Newark.
