Andreas Pedross-Engel

CTO, Co-Founder at ThruWave

Andreas Pedross-Engel is the Co-CTO and Co-Founder at ThruWave. Prior to this, they were a Research Scientist at the University of Washington, where they did research and development in the field of millimeter-wave imaging and wireless communications. Before that, they were a Research Associate at Graz University of Technology, where they researched and developed a noncoherent OFDM ultra-wideband (UWB) receiver within the NOFDM project. Andreas also taught a course on "Fundamentals of Digital Communications" and supervised master thesis projects.

Andreas Pedross-Engel has a Ph.D. in Information and Communications Engineering from the Technische Universität Graz, and a Dipl.-Ing. (M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering from the same school. Andreas also has a general qualification for university entrance and completed an apprenticeship in Electronic Engineering from the Werkschulheim Felbertal.

They are on a team with Aanand Esterberg - VP Business Development, Claire Watts - Co-CTO, Co-Founder, and Lance Troutman - VP Sales. Some direct reports include Andrew Ganse - Senior Imaging Data Scientist, Andrew Wolfram - Hardware Engineer, and Don Smyth - Chief Software Architect.
