Elina Richards

Elina Richards has been working in the technology industry since 2000. Elina began their career as a Technical Writer for Nortel Networks in 2000. In 2008, they became a Software Developer for Guidance Software where they contributed to the design and implementation of a multi-user web-based application. Elina then moved to Imaginestics in 2011 as a Senior Software Developer, where they improved the speed and accuracy of a graphical search engine written in C++, implemented a new image search method using SURF, and developed mapped-memory data structures. Elina is currently a Senior Imaging Software Engineer at ThruWave Inc., a position they have held since 2018.

Elina Richards completed their PhD in Astrophysics from Caltech in 2008, and their BSc in Physics and Literature from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000.
