Shelton Mar

Shelton Mar is the current VP of Engineering at Thumbtack, overseeing a large engineering organization responsible for product engineering, platform, data science, and internal tooling. Prior to Thumbtack, Shelton held senior roles at companies such as DoorDash, The Climate Corporation, Google, Tumbleweed Communications, and Escalate Inc. with a focus on building and scaling engineering teams and departments. With a background in Computer Science & Computer Engineering from Chico State University and graduate studies in Data Communication & Networking from Santa Clara University, Shelton has a strong foundation in technology and leadership.
