Stewart Kennedy currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Medicine and Academics at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, a position held since 2013, where responsibilities include managing a $250 million budget and leading the development of a system-wide Quality framework. In addition, Stewart has co-led the Harbourview Family Health Team since 2005, focusing on comprehensive family practice and primary care reform in Ontario. Previous leadership roles include serving as President of the Ontario Medical Association from 2011 to 2012 and co-chairing the Physicians Services Committee, with a notable achievement in negotiating significant Alternate Payment Plans. Additionally, Stewart chaired the Thunder Bay District Health Council during a pivotal period of health system restructuring. Educational credentials include a Medical Doctor degree from McMaster University, a Master's in Hospital Administration from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Health Studies, and Business Administration from Lakehead University.
