Barby Grant

Barby Grant has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Barby is currently working as the Senior Director of Communications for the Center for Applied Research and Innovation in Supply Chain - Africa (CARISCA), a project sponsored by USAID. In this role, they oversee all communication and marketing efforts for the project.

Prior to their current position, Barby Grant worked as a Communication and Marketing Consultant, providing strategic services to clients in the nonprofit, healthcare, and higher education sectors. Barby also specialized in survey research to help clients better understand their target audiences.

Barby Grant has also held positions as the Director of Donor Communication at the Valley of the Sun YMCA and as the Director of Communication at the Banner Health Foundation. In addition, they have a long history with Arizona State University, where they have served as the Director of Communication and Marketing for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Assistant Director for Communication in the Office of Development (now ASU Foundation), and Information Specialist for the College of Business (now W. P. Carey School of Business).

Throughout their career, Barby Grant has demonstrated expertise in communication strategy, marketing, research, and publication development.

Barby Grant holds a Graduate Certificate in Digital Audiences from Arizona State University, obtained in 2021. Barby also has a Master of Mass Communication degree from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Carson-Newman University. Additionally, Barby has received multiple certifications, including the Google Ads Display Certification and Google Ads Search Certification from Google in September 2021. Barby also obtained the Google Analytics Individual Qualification from Google Digital Academy (Skillshop) in June 2021. Barby has the Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) certification from IABC, although the exact date is unknown. Barby has further certifications in social media marketing from HubSpot Academy, obtained in December 2021, and in Inbound Marketing from HubSpot Academy, obtained in March 2021.
