Shawn Desker

Shawn Desker is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate transactional work, estate planning, and business consultancy. Currently serving as Counsel at Continental Law LLP since March 2017, Shawn also holds the position of General Counsel at Thuso since December 2021. Previously, Shawn founded and directed Triton Shipping Consultants, successfully securing major chartering contracts and building a competent leadership team. Other noteworthy roles include Partner at Chris Chua & Associates, where Shawn enhanced corporate practice and business development, and Strategic Business Director at SpartaMatrix Pte Limited, focusing on strategic growth in multiple regions. Additionally, significant contributions were made as a Senior Consultant at iQ Venture Partners, raising capital and advising on restructuring for various ventures. Shawn holds a Master’s degree in Finance from IAE Paris - Sorbonne Business School, along with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a degree in Laws from Queen Mary University of London and the College of Law United Kingdom, respectively.
