Shayla Teater

Shayla Teater has a diverse work experience in the media and fitness industries. Shayla began their career in 2006 at KOMU-TV, where they worked as a Producer/Reporter, gathering news stories and producing newscasts. Shayla then moved to Gannett, where they worked as a Producer at KTHV and produced the Noon Show. Shayla also created and produced a brand new 9 a.m. show. In 2009, they joined WFMY-Gannett as a Producer and was responsible for producing the number one 11 p.m. newscast in the Triad. In 2010, Shayla joined KTHV-Gannett as an Executive Producer, overseeing the production of the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts. Shayla later became a Senior Executive Producer at TEGNA, THV11 from 2013 to 2017. In 2018, Shayla became a Franchise Owner at Club Pilates and also took on the role of Assistant News Director at THV11. In 2020, they were promoted to News Director at THV11. Most recently, in 2021, they became a CycleBar Franchise Owner at CycleBar.

Shayla Teater attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2003 to 2007, where they studied Broadcast Journalism within the Journalism degree program.
