Emilia Molimpakis, PhD has extensive experience in the fields of Neuropsychology, Neurolinguistics, and Research Methods & Statistics. In 2020, they became the CEO & Co-Founder of thymia, a company that uses video games to assess mental health issues, and was also a member of the Entrepreneur First LD14 Cohort. In 2019, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher and Digital Education Accessibility Expert at UCL, a Video Game Scientific Consultant at EGGZ LIMITED, and a PhD Researcher at University College London. In 2017, they were a Visiting Researcher and Lecturer in Neurolinguistics at the University of Chicago. From 2015-2019, they were a Research Assistant and Patient Coordinator at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging, University College London, and a Research Associate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2013. Emilia also lectured in Statistics at University College London from 2014-2019 and was a Teaching Assistant in Neurolinguistics from 2014-2015.

Emilia Molimpakis, PhD has a comprehensive education history. Emilia obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon in 2008-2013. Subsequently, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Language Sciences with specialisation in Linguistics with Neuroscience from UCL in 2013-2014. Emilia also obtained a Certified MRI Operator at 1.5 Tesla from UCL in December 2014. In 2015-2019, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience and Linguistics from UCL. After graduating in 2019, they attended Stanford University for Machine Learning. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, such as a Digital Accessibility Trainer from UCL in September 2019, an Introduction to Unix Shell from UCL in December 2018, a Certified MRI Operator at 3 Tesla from Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging, Institute of Neurology, UCL in April 2015, and a Licensed Greek Philology Teacher for High School from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in May 2013.
