Steve Vincent

During his 30+-year public-service career, Steve led teams of several hundred people and managed budgets exceeding $20 million. Steve’s problem-solving aptitude and passion for public service inspired his current focus on TIAG business-development initiatives. His keen focus is on helping the people he serves to be successful by resolving their specific challenges. He is known for leaving his ego at the door, listening intently to the customer, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and maximizing resources to achieve the customer’s goals.

Steve originally applied his expertise to advance TIAG’s work developing digital behavioral health products with the National Center for Telehealth & Technology (T2), a component of the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury. These resources focused on helping military personnel, family members, and veterans cope with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In his role as a business advisor, Steve brings experience gained from a 25-year U.S. Navy career during which he mastered progressively complex leadership roles. Key assignments include Deputy Director of the Navy’s Business Operations office on the staff of the Vice Chief of Naval Operations where he helped implement strategic process improvements; Commanding Officer of Navy Operational Support Center Kitsap in Bremerton, Washington; and the pinnacle of his career, Commanding Officer of USS Germantown (LSD 42) where he led his team of 350 Sailors through a compressed maintenance and training cycle as the ship was tasked to deploy ahead of schedule to the Arabian Gulf.

A stalwart advocate for veterans, Steve is routinely asked to speak about military transition issues and the value veterans can bring to an employer. These engagements range from serving as the keynote speaker at major employer events and human resource summits to counseling veterans on how to better articulate their value to an employer, to individual mentoring and resume assistance. At the Third Annual 2018 VETTYS Awards, Steve was awarded an Honorary VETTY by The Academy of United States Veterans (AUSV).
