Jurgis Simsons

Jurgis Simsons currently serves as Master SDPO at Tidewater, beginning in September 2023. Prior to this role, Jurgis held similar positions as Master SDPO at Solstad Offshore ASA from October 2018 to September 2023, and at SolstadFarstad ASA from September 2016 to October 2018, where responsibilities included commanding the vessel Sea Falcon. Jurgis has extensive experience in dynamic positioning, having worked as C/O DPO at Deep Sea Supply from May 2013 to September 2016 on vessels such as STX PSV - Sea Tantalus and Sea Triumph, and as C/O DPO at Atlas Services Group from June 2010 to April 2013, which involved operating UT 755 LN PSVs like Vos Prelude and Vos Precious. Additional experience includes a DPO role at Van Oord in late 2012 and an earlier position as C/O at Seacor Marine Ltd from September 2007 to May 2010. Jurgis Simsons earned a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies from the Latvian Maritime Academy between 2001 and 2005.
