Ignacio Bilbao García has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Ignacio began their career in 1986 at Armada de Chile, where they served as a Commander and Naval Officer in different capacities until their voluntary retirement in 2011. During their tenure, they held positions such as Chief of Peacekeeping Operations, Commanding Officer of LM 30 Casma, Head of Operations - PWO, and Officer in charge of Weapons and Missiles systems. Ignacio also had international deployments with the US Navy and the Royal Swedish Navy. In 2011, Ignacio joined SSA Marine International as a Project Manager until 2013. Ignacio then moved to Tideworks Technology, where they held the positions of Regional Director of Business Development Latin America and Caribbean, and currently, they serve as the Director of Business Services LatAm and Caribbean.
Ignacio Bilbao García has an extensive education history. Ignacio holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Louisville, where they graduated top of their class in 2014. Ignacio also earned an MBA, with a specialization in Magister en Administración de Negocios (MBA), from Universidad de Chile, where they achieved the first place and received the distinction of "Máxima".
In terms of military education, Ignacio completed a Master Maritime Sciences (MSc) program in strategic planning, logistics, and officer of staff at the Academia de Guerra Naval. Ignacio also obtained a degree in Naval Engineering, specializing in weapons and missile systems, from the Academia Politénica Naval. Additionally, they hold a BSc in Naval and Maritime Sciences from the same institution.
Ignacio has pursued further professional development by completing various certification programs. Ignacio obtained a diploma in "Project Management - Project Management Institute PMI" from the University of Louisville and a diploma in Lean Six Sigma from 6 Sigma US, focusing on the Champion and Green Belt program in DMAIC methodology. Ignacio also received training in the Tactical Action Officer (TAO) program at the Surface Warfare School Command and graduated from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) in Legal Studies, specializing in Peacekeeping Operations and the Rules of Law.
Before pursuing higher education, Ignacio attended the Escuela Naval Arturo Prat from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a degree as a Naval Officer, specializing in executive hierarchy and naval engineering.
In terms of additional certifications, Ignacio recently completed a course in Business Analysis Foundations: Business Process Modeling from LinkedIn, and in 2012, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
