Sara Dassel has had a long and varied career in the arts and business. Sara began their career in 1993 as an Assistant Manager at Citibank. In 1995, they moved to the American Federation of Arts as an Exhibitions Coordinator, where they conceived and managed marketing strategies for over 20 exhibitions, generating over $1 million in annual revenue. In 1997, they became the Director of Exhibitions at the Photographic Resource Center, where they curated multi and single-artist exhibitions and managed a guest curator program. In 2006, they moved to the Brookline Community Foundation as the Director of Programs. In 2011, they became the Founder/Partner of Flatfile Boston, an innovative art consulting group. Finally, in 2015, they became the Director of TIEM Athletic, creating footwear for the modern athlete.
Sara Dassel earned their Bachelor of Arts in Art Sara'story from Oberlin College in 1989. Sara then went on to obtain their Master of Arts in Art Sara'story from Hunter College in 1993.
