Kei Kato

Kei Kato has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies.

Starting in 1999, Kei worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Victor Company of Japan, Limited for three years.

In 2002, Kei joined ACCESS CO., LTD as a Software Engineer, specializing in mobile web browser application engineering. From 2003 to 2005, Kei served as the Chief Software Engineer at the same company.

In 2005, Kei joined Ricoh Company, Ltd. as a Chief Embedded Software Engineer, responsible for leading the software engineering team. Kei then transitioned to the role of Specialist Embedded Software Engineer, where they focused on HW and SW system design and development. Kei continued in this role until 2017 when they became a Specialist R&D Engineer at the same company.

In 2017, Kei moved to Autoliv as a Lead Software Engineer, taking on the role of Tech Lead for a FuSa SW subsystem component.

From 2018 to 2020, Kei worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Veoneer, functioning as the Vision Processor Tech Lead. Kei was responsible for communication with JOEM, technical management of software engineering teams, and overall project management.

Kei's most recent position is with TIER IV, where they currently hold the role of Technical Project Manager.

Throughout their career, Kei has gained experience in various technologies such as Linux, Qt, Qtopia, C/C++, TCP/IP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Cortex-R4, Cortex-A9MPCore, RTOS/Device Driver, Boot strap, SoC design, and more.

Kei Kato completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Osaka University from 1995 to 1999.
