Ilkka Keränen has extensive work experience in various roles within the IT and accounting fields. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Accounting Specialist at Outokumpu, where they performed tasks such as general ledger, accruals, and matching tasks. In 2011, they also completed a Master Thesis Project, evaluating the implementation of a vertical system and steering model for the financial department at Outokumpu.
In 2012, Ilkka joined Tieto, where they held multiple positions. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as an SAP Consultant. Then, from 2015 to 2016, they served as a Continuous Service Manager, ensuring delivery targets, quality, and customer satisfaction were met. From 2016 to 2018, their role shifted to Project Manager, overseeing daily operations and reporting. Finally, from 2018 to 2020, they served as a Customer Engagement Manager, responsible for meeting delivery targets, ensuring service quality, managing resources, and maintaining profitability.
Currently, Ilkka Keränen works as a Lead Service Delivery Manager at Tietoevry, a position they took on in 2020.
Ilkka Keränen earned a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from the University of Lapland from 2005 to 2011. In 2008 to 2009, they also studied Business/Managerial Economics at Technische Universität Dresden. Before attending university, Ilkka Keränen completed their secondary education at Tornion yhteislyseon lukio from 2001 to 2004. In 2015, they obtained the ITIL Foundation certification.
