Tigard-Tualatin School District
Marit Baker has over 15 years of experience as a 4th and 5th grade teacher, currently serving in the Tigard-Tualatin School District since August 2006, and previously in the Dayton School District from August 2004 to July 2006. Marit Baker holds a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Reading and ESOL from Lewis & Clark College, completed between 2006 and 2008, as well as an undergraduate degree in Education, Spanish, from Linfield University, earned in 2004.

Tigard-Tualatin School District (TTSD) serves part of the suburban Portland metropolitan area including the cities of Tigard, Tualatin, Durham, and King City, as well as the unincorporated communities of Metzger and Bull Mountain. TTSD provides programming from Pre-school to 12th grade with an emphasis on student achievement, equity, talent, and climate and culture. All K-12 students experience personalized digital learning with a focus on critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity, as well as opportunities to experience, college, career, and technical classes, preparing them for success after high school. TTSD hires and retains staff who are catalysts for learning and who nurture a school community where everyone feels safe, valued, and connected.
