Head Of Experience Design (emea) at Tigerspike

Amir Sheikh has a diverse work experience in the field of design and experience design. Amir is currently working as the Head of Experience Design (EMEA) at Concentrix Tigerspike. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Experience Design (Europe) at the same company.

Before joining Concentrix Tigerspike, Amir worked as a Design Director at Sustainable Futures Ltd. Amir held this position starting from December 2019.

Amir also has experience working at Proteus Digital Health, Inc as a Senior Design Team Lead. Amir led a team of designers, copywriters, and animators to develop and execute a complete communications strategy for a leading Silicon Valley digital health innovator. Their work involved print, packaging, web, and film. Amir held this role from March 2016 to April 2019.

Earlier in their career, Amir served as the Director of Creative Services at Sky, where they led the ideation and vision for product and creative teams designing the next generation of Sky TV and mobile products. Amir explored the opportunity for TV and its role within the home of the future. Amir worked at Sky from October 2011 to December 2014.

Amir has also worked as a Design and UX Consultant at various design and advertising agencies. Amir provided their expertise in design and user experience from October 2009 to October 2011.

Amir was the Head of Design at Tobias & Tobias from December 2008 to September 2009. In this role, Amir was responsible for delivering purposeful and engaging brand experiences for mobile and web. Amir managed a team of visual and UX designers and contributed to pitches and proposals. Amir also developed a new house style.

Amir gained experience as a Senior Art Director/Acting Group Head at Agency.com. Amir provided art direction and brand guardianship for the full range of digital marketing for British Airways. Amir worked in this position from June 2006 to December 2008.

Before that, they served as a Digital Art Director at various digital agencies from March 2004 to June 2006.

Amir's career started as a Senior Designer at FITCH, where they worked closely with design directors to express brands across multiple channels. Amir had the opportunity to work on projects for Dunlop, including the development of brand language for BTTC and the advertising campaign "Drivers know." Amir worked at FITCH from January 2003 to February 2004.

At the beginning of their career, Amir worked as an Art Director at jumptomorrow gmbh. Amir produced a TV commercial and campaign for the Red Cross, as well as animations and branding for various events and clients. Amir also hired a team of digital and print designers and offered a multi-disciplinary integrated service. Amir held this position from February 2000 to February 2002.

Amir Sheikh's education history is as follows:

Amir attended Art Academy London in 2015 on a part-time basis, focusing on Sculpture. In 1995, they began their studies at Ravensbourne University London, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design and Visual Communication. This degree was granted by the Royal College of Art. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1993, Amir studied at the University of Central Lancashire, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business and History.

In addition to their formal education, Amir has obtained several certifications. In August 2021, they completed the "Designing Strategy" certification from IDEO U. In December 2020, they obtained a certification in "Political Philosophy" from edx. In May 2020, Amir received a certification in "From Linear to Circular" from the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. Finally, in February 2019, they obtained a certification in "Behavioural Economics" from Ogilvy.
