Sawsan Saeed

Sawsan Saeed is an experienced technology leader currently serving as a Solutions Engineering Manager at TikTok since November 2022, with prior roles including Solutions Engineer Lead for Global Gaming and Solutions Engineer. Before joining TikTok, Sawsan co-founded Votek, a company focused on Arabic speech recognition technology, where Sawsan held the position of CTO from March 2010 to October 2022, overseeing the development of an advanced speech recognition engine. Additionally, Sawsan co-founded Loujee, an educational Arabic smart toy, and participated as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Dubai Future Accelerators, working with government sectors on innovative projects. Sawsan began a career in academia as a Teaching Assistant at Damascus University. Sawsan holds a Master’s degree in Applied Data Science from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from Damascus University.
