Shuai Yuan

Shuai Yuan is a Machine Learning Engineer at TikTok since February 2024, specializing in video understanding with AI, particularly in Multimodal and Large Language Models. Prior to this role, Shuai Yuan interned at Meta from May 2020 to December 2023, serving as a Research Scientist Intern focused on computational photography, contributing to a first-author paper published at CVPR 2024, and held positions as a Research Engineer Intern and another Research Scientist Intern, working on stereo matching, depth perception, 3D reconstruction, optical flow, and motion tracking for augmented and virtual reality devices. Shuai Yuan earned a PhD in Computer Science from Duke University in December 2023 and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Nanjing University in June 2018.
