During their tenure at Edmunds.com, they played a crucial role in developing core data products, leading product development for B2B and internal tools, and overseeing consumer product development, which served a large user base of 20 million+ per month. Before joining Edmunds.com, Ben Marland worked at The Master's University in various roles, including Adjunct Professor of Computer Science and Database Administrator and SQL Programmer.

Ben Marland obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management with a minor in Public Relations from The Master's University, which they attended from 1997 to 2001.
