Hesham Almekkawi

Hesham Almekkawi has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries. Hesham is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Tim Hortons - Middle East since September 2021. Prior to this, they founded ATK Consulting, LLC in February 2021, where they worked as a Founder & Consultant.

From December 2018 to January 2021, Hesham Almekkawi held the position of Chief Executive Officer & Executive Board Member at YYT Food Corp. Hesham also worked as the Vice President - Hospitality at Majid Al Futtaim Ventures from 2016 to 2018.

Earlier in their career, Hesham Almekkawi served as the Chief Operations Officer at Kuwait Food Company (Americana) KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Hardee’s from 2008 to 2016. Hesham also worked at ADF Companies & Pizza Hut Inc. as the Regional Director of Operations for Maryland, Washington D.C., and West Virginia from 1995 to 2008.

Alongside their corporate roles, Hesham Almekkawi held the position of Adjunct Professor at Baruch College from 2003 to 2007. During this time, they introduced the first service operations management course and taught various courses related to service strategies and production operations management.

Hesham Almekkawi obtained their EMBA degree in Service Strategy and Operations Management from Baruch College, where they studied from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed their BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Alexandria University. In addition, they have obtained various certifications including being a John Maxwell Certified Team Member, a Certified International Life Coach, a Certified NLP Practitioner, and completing the YUM Operations College program offered by Yum! Brands.
